Conditions of entry

Nominations & Eligibility 

  1. Anyone employed within the Australian travel industry can nominate another individual working within, or business operating in, the Australian travel industry. 

  2. Individuals in Category 1 need to be ATIA Accredited themselves, or part of a mobile / home based travel advisor network which is ATIA Accredited.  

  3. Individuals in categories 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 need to be employed by an ATIA Accredited Business.  

  4. Minimum TTV requirements also apply for categories 1, 3, 4.  

  5. Businesses in categories 10 - 24 need to be ATIA Accredited themselves. 

  6. For category 36, where eligible, the business needs to be ATIA Accredited.  

  7. We reserve the right to verify your eligibility for the nominated category by searching for your records within our database and/or contacting your manager, agency group, network head office for confirmation. 

  8. All candidates will be contacted via email and notified of their nomination.  

  9. All candidates will have the opportunity to accept or decline the peer nomination by submitting an online form.  

  10. Where the candidate matches the description of the category in which they’ve nominated in but are not eligible due to the business’ accreditation status – the business will be presented with the opportunity to become ATIA Accredited within a specified timeframe.  The business must apply, undergo an accreditation eligibility review, and pay the full accreditation fee before the candidate can proceed to the next stage of the awards process. 

  11. Once the nomination has been accepted, you will receive an email with the link to log into the awards portal and submit your submission. 

  12. If you decline the nomination or do not respond, we will cease further correspondences regarding your nomination.  

 

Change of role, position or company 

  1. Nominees and Finalists who change roles and/or companies must contact ATIA to reconfirm your eligibility status.  
  2. The company with which you were employed with for the majority of the qualifying period will be recognised as your company for the purpose of the awards.  

 

Submissions, Assessment and Finalist Determination   

  1. Submissions (referred to as an Entry within the Awards Portal) will only be accepted via the NTIA Awards Portal only(https://ntia.awardsplatform.com/).  

  2. The status of your submission must be “Submitted” by the awards deadline to be recognised and announced as a Nominee in the respective category.  Any submissions that are “In progress” will not be considered.  

  3. For categories 1 – 20, 33 – 36, n independent assessor is authorised to review your submission for the purpose of evaluating and scoring your response. 

  4. The top 5 scoring nominees in each category will be shortlisted as finalists. If there are 2 nominees tied for 5th place, one of two actions will be taken: 

    - If the difference in score between 5th and 7th place is 0.5 marks or less, a mediator will review the tied submissions and provide additional commentary which could be used to inform the final results. 
    - If the difference is 1 mark or more, all tied nominees may proceed as finalists.  
  5. All nominees will be notified via email of their finalist status prior to the trade announcement. 

  6. As a finalist, you must continue to abide by these Conditions of Entry.  

 

Voting Profile for Voted Categories

  1. Voting profiles (referred to as an Entry within the Awards Portal) will only be accepted within the NTIA Awards Portal only (https://ntia.awardsplatform.com/). 

  2. The status of your voting profile must be “Submitted” by the awards deadline to be recognised and announced as a Nominee in the respective category.  

  3. For categories 25 – 32, your voting profile will consist of 5 images in total: 1 of the company’s logo, and 4 accompanying images.

    • The accompanying images must showcase your product / service, but not be promotional in nature e.g., brochure with pricing displayed.  
    • ATIA may revert the status of your voting profile to “in-progress” if changes need to be made. The requested changes will be communicated via email to the person managing the voting profile.  
    • ATIA also reserves the right to make necessary changes to your voting profile, to ensure consistency amongst all nominees in the category. This would be limited to:  
      • Reordering the sequence in which your logo and images have been uploaded,  
      • Adding or removing padding from the logo, 
      • Replacing 1 of your accompanying images with your company logo if the number of accompanying images is exceeded.  

Industry Voting  

  1. Industry voting will be conducted online only and will be managed through the NTIA Awards Portal (https://ntia.awardsplatform.com/).   
  2. There will be 1 round of industry voting to determine the finalists and winner. 

  3. Voters will need to register an account with the awards portal to submit their votes. 

  4. Voters may vote in 1 category or multiple categories. Only 1 vote is permitted per category; votes cannot be rescinded once cast.  

  5. Voters cannot vote for your employer; these votes will be recused.  

  6. The top 5 ranked companies will be shortlisted as finalists, and overall highest voted company the winner.  

 

Virtual Judging Interview 

  1. The period for virtual judging interviews is 01/09/25 until 19/09/25 (inclusive). The judging schedule is as determined by ATIA in line with the judges’ availability.  

  2. Each interview will be attended by a panel with a minimum of 2 judges. 

  3. Interviews may be rescheduled in extenuating circumstances only and will also be subject to the judges’ availability.  

  4. Once the judging schedule has been published, finalists will have 48 hours to submit a request to reschedule. We kindly ask that you provide your reason for rescheduling as part of this request.  

  5. Failure to attend the interview may result in your finalist status being rescinded.  

  6. ATIA reserves the right to reschedule finalists’ interviews on short notice, with any changes being notified in writing. 

  7. Should the finalist withdraw from the awards for any reason, their finalist status will be withdrawn, and the next highest-ranking nominee may be promoted to Finalist.  

  8. The Judge’s scores are final; however, ATIA reserves the right to request clarification from the judges should their scores not align with the accompanying feedback.  

 

Feedback 

  1. Once the NTIA Gala Dinner & Awards Presentation has concluded, all nominees that provided a video or written submission will receive their submission score only. This can be accessed via the awards portal.  

  2. Finalists who participated in virtual judging interviews will receive their interview scores and any judges’ feedback. 

  3. Finalists in voted categories may request their ranking with their nominated category.  

  4. Finalists in submission only categories will receive their scores and any judges’ comments that have been provided.
